Olivia E. [Ensor] Coolidge was born October 16, 1908 in London, England. She attended Somerville College at Oxford University and graduated with a BA in 1931 and an MA in 1940. She taught in both England and the United States and published her first book for children and young adults, Greek Myths in 1949. Throughout her career, Olivia E.
